Last day in our Cotswold cottage, so got up and spent a while packing and tidying before going down to the pub to check emails and have a last look at the village. Then off to our meeting point, which was a good hour and a half away. Met up with Tiggger (Claire) who had arranged to meet us a High Cross and do some of the walk with me. I really appreciated the company and her taking time off what sounded like a very busy week at work to help me out. We walked along a track that led up eventually to Sutton Hill and the Mill on the Soar pub, chatting away. As we were approaching we saw a distant Tigers shirt walking towards us which turned out to be Paul the Crumbly who had come to join us too. Walked the last bit to the pub and were treated to a complimentary lunch - thanks so much Mill on the Soar! Two more Tigers fans, David and Steve came to join us so it was a proper party. We had a great time chatting about the walk and Tigers in general. I really want to thank you all for coming, it was a really touching thing for you to take time out to help a mad woman.

Paul joined me for the second leg to Narborough and we braved busy roads and grass verges for that bit. After a while there was pavement and we could chat a little easier. Hope to get to meet up with the rest of the Crumblies tomorrow. It got pretty sunny at this point and we were boiling. So when we got to the meeting point and Paul brought out a lovely cool bottle of cider for me, and a bottle opener (must have been a boy scout!) that was a very welcome sight. So we got in the car, me swigging cider, and then found that Andy Mann from Tigers was on the phone wanting to see how the walk was going. Had a quick chat - I am not good at this celebrity lark. Dropped Paul back at his car and went to our hotel. Looked great in the lobby swigging me Bulmers!

Then, BBC Radio Leicester on the phone, scary, who recorded some bit of garble from me. I am not getting any better. Luckily Kevin spoke to the Rugby Paper and Merc who had phoned earlier. He is a lot better at it.

Had a bath now to get me smelling all lovely for Matt. Shame I'll then walk 5 miles and smell like normal! Off for some grub. Really excited about tomorrow and walking the final bit. Just don't walk under a bus now...
