A dull day of solitary trudge today. Or so I thought when I set off. Was dropped off about quarter to nine on the B4455 which has now become my new home. Didn't get a chance to have a bath yesterday so was resplendent with manky hair in an Essex facelift hairdo and sexy high vis jacket. No beeping today unless it's in sympathy and support! The photo of the tree is one of my sheewee sites. Sorry about including that but it is one of the real gadget finds for this walk. iphones are good, but shewees rock. I have to find somewhere where you can not only see me, but also hear me as I do giggle quite a lot. Hence tree in middle of field. It's the shaking at the end that sets me off!
Anyway...I was very good today and kept on the main road the whole way. Started at Hunningham Hill. Then on to Eathorpe which bothered me because I really thought there should be an s. Then Princethorpe where Kevin met me. He keeps meeting me to check how I am doing and I keep getting in the car fancying a bit of a sit down, and then he encourages me along with a really sweet "bugger off". Hope you love the arty convex mirror shot! I went back for that one.
Met a nice man feeding his goats in Brinklow I think, and a great pretty bus stop which as I was standing there fiddling with my phone to get the camera a bus came along and I had to wave him away double fast. Don't want anyone to think I'm cheating here! Canal was pretty too, that I went over. Had lunch at the Sarah Somebodyorother at Willey, cos you just had to. Lamb chops on a sizzle platter.
Then dropped back off again to continue my walk. I was trying to meet up with Tiggger around this area, but she couldn't make it until tomorrow, so I was resigned to lonesome plodding, when at a lay by chatting to my stalker through the window - he won't let me sit down now - a van pulled up and my lovely step-daughter Claire got out! What a great surprise!
